How can I repair a Sherwood Receiver? - sherwood receivers an inexpensive surprise - sherwood rx-4109
I have a Sherwood receiver S2620CP. The left channel is shut down temporarily on. I sprayed contact cleaner on both the volume control and adjusting the balance. This has not helped. Could a faulty component on the motherboard or should I replace the regulator to balance? Other ideas?

Could all kinds of problems with different symptoms (contact sales for electronics are bad). If you are not familiar with electronics and the Service Manual will be encouraged to examine, receive professional advice. Most shops charge to prepare an estimate. You can set the cost of repairing credit when you go there to ... But do not be surprised if the costs are high. Consider whether the recipient is worth the cost of repair.
If you do not want to pay, then no real harm done to repair it yourself. There are some repair and Internet forums where you can get advice. I would not depend on Y! Respondents technical assistance.
