Auto Start Transmission Ubuntu 97 Honda Civic - Auto Transmission Won't Unlock After Car Is Started?

97 Honda Civic - Auto Transmission won't unlock after car is started? - auto start transmission ubuntu

Over the weekend, our 1997 Honda Civic Sedan developed an interesting problem. After starting the car and press on the brake I can not change the automatic transmission in Park, So you have to manually unlock, change to neutral, then start the car. Also the horn is no longer. I checked the fuse was replaced and the horn, but try to test the fuse blew again the trumpet. Any idea what could be the problem?

The problem with the car park is not shifted due to blown fuse for the horn of Africa. Here the logic is

the car does not move a park, when you enter your foot on the brake pedal. the only way the system locking shift "knows" that the pressure is on the brake pedal is that when your foot on the brake pedal, brake lights at the rear of the car over. So light up when the brake lights when the shift lock system allows you to take the car.

Lights from the same fuse as the horn. So, if the fuse blows the horn, brake lights do not work.

They are systematically eliminate components in the circuit to see what is causing the problem. I would in this way
1) Replace) to do the backup (better than about 5 backups so. then press the brakes and change the vehicle fleet. If it works, you can delete everything in the brake lights of the system because the backup does not melt.

2) treatment of the horn. Again, I know you said that explodes when you tested the hornso that your problem has to do with the side of the horn, but this only to confirm. If the fuse blows and the horn is well known that the circuit is the problem

3) Replace the fuse and pull the plug from the horn. then try to return the horn. If the fuse does not blow a horn shortly. My guess is that it is your problem.

3) if the fuse blows, then the problem with the horn relay. You can substitute any relief, to test as in the engine compartment fuse and relay box for the horn relay and then. If the work of Horn and the fuse does not blow the relay problem is a short circuit.

4) When the horn is shorted, then you can remove the plug and the device without the horn until you can fix them, or if not able to get access to the horn (which is generally not very easy) and pull the horn relay and at least the brake lights and shift lock, until you replace the horn

I think you'll find his own horn.

Hope that helps
