Receiver Shuts Off At High Volume Onkyo 6.1 Receiver Shuts Off At Moderate High Volume?

Onkyo 6.1 receiver shuts off at moderate high volume? - receiver shuts off at high volume

I have 2 receiver Onkyo TX-SR601 and TX-NR801. I was so connected to my home theater (6 high-end, and Boston Acoustic Performance (AMP) Boston Acoustic subwoofer). When a loud noise, a film released in the receiver (starts in protection mode). That's not true .... be strong, but I need at this level for the home theater. I have a volume of slightly more than a press amp. I checked and cleaned all the cables from the speaker and the people had circuitcity Firefox Search ... said that I would need an additional preamp for 6 speakers draw consideration. Your opinion?

If both receivers do the same, then it is one of the speakers has a short process. Again, in a scene that the receiver for the protection of the withdrawal would try to send, but one of the speakers and see if it still does. If so, try disconnecting and reconnecting the connection to another and so on. If you are separated by a shutdown of the speakers found his cause. Repair or replace the speaker. Good luck. Do not ask boys CC or BB, is only the brain are damaged. A preamp will not help (if there is a problem with the recipient is not an amplifier, a preamp be useful, but it is unlikely that both receivers with the same problem)

The beneficiaries may be closed for various reasons.
Heat. Ensure adequate ventilation and there is nothing to impede airflow or around the unit.
"The short films. Check the wiring, make sure that all speaker connections are tight and not touching, especially when you moved recently or changed links. Can you also deceive, short for a particular channel.
"Go through the amplifier. Is among the recipients of high volume" protect "themselves to the temporary closure.
It appears that saturation of the amplifier to your situation. The recipient of the aid is a minimum of 100W and has more than adequately handle the load speakers.
If you with that feel good, here is a "note" Onkyo "at the wide ribbon cable from the front look. There is a group of components on the motherboard from 6V to 12V and supply of different things. There is a range of 12 Ohms and a resistance of 1 ohm. These run hot and eventually run under the motherboard.
It seems that you need a service center.

I am honored only a very modest BB, in the presence of sage that Michael, but here is what I do.

1) Check the phase (polarity)
2) by Ohm speakers to ensure that all are equal
a) OHM shows a load.
3) if all the checks would then perhaps a pre-amplifier before frying its two receptors have helped, but it's too late, I've seen more than once, this service is not likely to help, even if it offers its own board diagnostics.

Just curious, whether in this case just before a scene with decent bass notes. The reason I ask is that it is often difficult to "power". Also just curious if there has been one of these receptors in several zones, conditions or not.

Of course I'm biased Fire Dog, but it is fairly new kid on the block when a veteran Ahold (audiophile persuasion) Magnolia HT installer now (GS), you would be in good hands. By late afternoon, so I hope that you can be useful to find send to the service if they are still in sightY.

Fast response. If your recipient does not share what the speaker might have problems with May by the current level. Or even if the speaker can not on that which makes the receiver. When making the 6 speakers, while her song of the same journey and follow the way of protection.

A preamplifier has probably nothing to do with your problem and nothing to solve the problem. To hear better, you need a "robust" amp. In addition, a preamplifier between the source and power amplifier. The behavior of the speaker is the final stage.

When the receiver goes into protection mode, it is because of your power amplifier. My bet is that something is wrong with either electronics or, as it is connected. There are some things that you can see:
a> to the front, center and rear speakers have set a high cutoff frequency (so that the recipient requires less energy for pumping is low) .. more power and a subwoofer output for this purpose.
b> To ensure that you do not have the speaker output in connection to the sub-committee. You must approach the line out of service.
C> ensuring high Boston Acoustics speakers are 2 ohms. Your Onkyo receiver will not be able to hunt, and is likely to overheat.
Try D> Amplifiers cut usually by "thermal overload. .. You some additional cooling, but weenters into unknown territory ...

A preamplifier not solve your problem. Most likely you have a speaker or damaged cables still works, but barely. You can search for better and thicker speaker cables to fix the problem. Since the problem of the bets with two receivers, the fact that the problem with the speaker. Make sure that the settings are correct first. First remove one of the speakers on the federal government at a time to see if it is damaged, and after examining the wiring.

And as a former manager of Best Buy, I know that no CC or BB do not know when it comes to home theater has!

You have the right choice made by the wiring. And I agree that a pre-amp will do nothing to solve your problem.

Question: Does your receiver is of the opinion that the most important center / rear speakers are small or large?

If any of these "big", the recipient sends a low frequency sounds for them. The explosion of high performance can change the beneficiary under his protection.

Make sure your speakers are so small for the recipient to define the things on the printer to feed.
